We understand that every child’s journey is unique, and that’s why we offer a range of programs tailored to meet the individual needs of each child.
Our programs include play-based learning, structured learning, physical activity, and creative arts. Our goal is to create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages children to be curious, independent and confident learners.
Our baby care and classrooms are tailored to the needs of children at every stage of development, below are some descriptions of our rooms and the programs that we offer.
We know that babies learn and develop at their own pace, which is why we provide a flexible and responsive program tailored to meet the individual needs of each child. Our team work closely with parents to understand their child’s routine, preferences, diet, and developmental milestones, and we use this information to create a customised care plan for each baby.
Our baby room is designed to be a warm, welcoming, and homely space that promotes exploration and curiosity. We have also created a calm and soothing environment with soft lighting, gentle music, and comfortable sleeping areas.
Our junior toddler room adjoins the baby room and is designed to provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing transition for children aged 1 – 2 years. We understand that this is an important stage in your child’s development which is why we provide a carefully curated program that encourages exploration, movement, and independence.
We provide several outdoor play areas to nurture the naturally curious mind of our toddlers. We also have an indoor play area that is safe, spacious, and well-equipped with toys and activities that stimulate the senses and encourage imaginative play.
Our senior toddler room is designed to help prepare children aged 2 to 3 years for the transition to kindy. Our play-based program supports kids physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Here we familiarize children with music, dance, storey telling, craft and other skills that your child will need to succeed on their path to lifelong learning. We help children develop their language and communication skills, promote their physical development, and encourage their independence and self-confidence.
The Kindy rooms are designed to encourage relationships, communication, and collaboration through play. We do singing, reading, drawing, painting, dancing, playing and lots of other fun stuff. Classroom materials are thoughtfully incorporated to encourage creativity, problem solving, experimentation, exploration, and open-ended play. In these rooms we teach and support every child’s physical, emotional and social development, creating a safe space to feel comfortable, just like home.
At My Kids Academy, we believe that early childhood education is essential for giving children the best possible start to life and we are proud to offer a Queensland Government-approved kindergarten program that prepares children for a successful transition to primary school.
Our program is led by a qualified and experienced early childhood teacher, who designs and delivers a curriculum that is engaging, challenging, and developmentally appropriate for children aged 4 to school age years.
Our program is based on the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG), which provides a framework for teaching and learning in kindergarten. We focus on developing children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills, through a range of play-based learning activities, group work, and individual projects.
